Weather improves in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Feb 6: The night temperature in Kashmir Valley has been steadily hovering above freezing point for the last few days. While people are getting relief from freezing cold, the freezing of water reservoirs and freezing of water in taps has also stopped.
According to the Meteorological Department, dry weather is expected to remain in Kashmir Valley till February 12.
A spokesman for the department said the minimum temperature in the summer capital Srinagar was recorded at 0.6 degrees Celsius.
Ali Mohammad, a resident of Akhal while talking with Current News Service (CNS) said that Government is playing with their emotions as they sent contractors to work on this bridge and contractors tighted Nuts and bolts and for some days did welding work also due to which villagers were happy and after some days they left work and left villagers in the lurch.
Abdul Ahad, another local said "we don't have facility of emergency services like fire brigade and ambulance as the bailey bridge on Nallah Sind is very narrow"
Residents requested LG Administration to take a look on this as they have suffered very Much from last 10 years and requested DC Ganderbal and SDM Kangan to contact with Construction Agency and solve the issue on priority
It is pertinent to mention that the bridge connects dozens of areas having population of thousands with Tehsil headquarters, Kangan.
