Unit holder demands probe in fabricated NOC case

NOC manually provided by PCB scientist with forged signatures

SRINAGAR, Feb 6: The industrial unit namely Green Valley Rolling Mills located at IGC Lassipora was provided with the fabricated No Objection Certificate (NOC) order by then scientist of State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) namely Sabeena Sultan during the year 2018 when they had applied for it through the online mode.
Meanwhile, as against the online mode Scientist at SPCB Sabeena provided the unit holder with the manual NOC copy of the document, a CNS report said.
In the year 2021, the said unit holder applied for the renewal of the same, Regional Director PCB Raffi Ahmad raised doubts on the veracity of the NOC as it bears no resemblance with the online document present in the office.
Moreover, the earlier NOC bears the forged signatures of the erstwhile member secretary who was not in chair at that time of disposing the said online application.
When CNS questioned the present Member Secretary BM Sharma whether the Pollution Control Board will lodge FIR and take action against the accused as recommended by the Regional Director PCB, but instead of responding to the text as directed by him he dodged questions on one pretext or another.
The unit holder clarified that he demands action against the accused as the industrial unit of worth 6 crores was put at stake on behest of the corrupt elements.
Meanwhile, all the documents pertaining to this case are kept as a proof of irrefutable evidence by the Current News Service.
